Why Personal Accountability Is Dwindling

Contributing Factors

Episode 2 in a Five-Part Series

I've undertaken this multipart series on accountability because I hear so many people voicing their view that problems with accountability have become widespread.

In this second episode, I begin examining various factors which seem to be worsening this mounting crisis. This problem analysis will continue into the third episode.

In this one I focus primarily on three contributors:

  1. side-effects of family breakdown
  2. growth of a victim mentality
  3. massive urbanization

I show the impact which each of these has on our sense of responsibility, for wherever the sense of responsibility is weak, accountability will inevitably suffer.
